This kit SMS controlled stepper motor is designed with this project is designed with an idea to use the mobile hand set as a long distance remote controller. The mobile sets are now a day’s used most widely and very commonly. The SMS can be sending to any mobile user of any service provider with no or a minimum charge. This system is designed using a GSM modem. The GSM modem is configured as a receiver. The SMS sent by the user is written in a particular format.
In the kit SMS controlled stepper motor the controller receives the message and decodes it and identifies the task to be done. Here we designed and electronic control unit using which we can control the stepper motor (speed and direction) remotely just by sending SMS from our mobile. The SMS in sent in a definite format hence can be controlled by definite user.
In the kit SMS controlled stepper motor to control the stepper motor operation (speed and direction), we have to send just a SMS in a particular format, as soon as the SMS gets received by the microcontroller; it fetches the particular data from the SMS, and controls the motor accordingly. A proper message is also displayed on the LCD for the same (Optional).In the motor interfacing part we will be needed a unipolar stepper motor, and L293D IC to interface motor with the microcontroller. Any message to be displayed can be sent by SMS anywhere.
