This kit is designed to make fuzzy logic controller to control the DC motor and regulate its speed according to the user defined value entered by the user using a keypad. The rpm of the motor is continuously monitored using IR sensing arrangement and as the user enter the rpm control factor the rpm reduces still the IR based sensing arrangement counts the rpm of the motor to get a feedback whether the rpm is regulated or not. The rpm of the motor is continuously displayed on the LCD.
The kit comprises of three main parts that is the keypad to enter the percentage regulation factor, driver unit to drive the motor & the IR based rpm counter to count the speed of the motor. The controller used is of the AVR family that is responsible for the controlling all the operations.
This is basically a simple design to understand the concept of control system with feedback. The kit is used understand the concept of regulation of DC devices, how to use 4×4 keypad and the concept of interrupt to count the rpm of a rotating device. The kit is the design to understand the concept of control system design to check the rpm, regulate it & take feedback to analyze error.
